According to a report from TMZ, Iowa basketball’s all-time 3-point leader Jordan Bohannon was seriously injured during a brutal bar attack.
Footage has now surfaced from that incident.
From TMZ:
“Now, school officials say the 23-year-old is “recovering well” after suffering a “serious head injury” during the incident … and police are now involved.
The video shows Bohannon hanging outside at DC’s Sports Bar bar in Iowa City when suddenly he was blindsided with a brutal shot to the face. We wish Jordan the best of luck as he recovers from his injuries.”
“Thankfully, Jordan is recovering well after being attacked by an individual he did not see coming at him,” Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said in a statement. “We were made aware of the incident immediately. We are grateful that friends who were with Jordan at the time kept the incident from escalating. His health is our number one concern.”
After averaging 10.6 points per game for the Hawkeyes last season, he announced that he would take advantage of the NCAA’s rule granting every athlete an additional year of eligibility due to the pandemic and return for a sixth season.
