Lawmakers in Florida are considering legal protest following Florida State University’s exclusion from the College Football Playoff.
The CFP is getting major heat for the controversial decision that has ruled FSU out of postseason play despite them going 13-0 and winning the ACC Championship. It’s believed that strength of schedule was what worked out in Alabama’s favor, while the injury sustained by quarterback Jordan Travis is also thought to have been a factor.
According to Front Office Sports, Florida government officials aren’t all that ready to accept the explanation and are mulling over multiple options.
“What we learned today is that you can go undefeated and win your conference championship game, but the College Football Playoff committee will ignore these results,” Florida Governor Ron Desantis was quoted as saying.
“The state also has a rocky relationship and has been embroiled in litigation with Disney, which broadcasts the CFP on its ESPN network,” per FOS.
