Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson just set a jaw-dropping record at the NFL Combine on Saturday.
Stacey Dales of NFL Network posted the video of Richardson performing a vertical jump of 40.5 inches. This is officially the new record for a quarterback at the NFL Combine:
That’s certainly one way of increasing your draft stock with the NFL Draft less than two months away…
Many expect Alabama’s Bryce Young, Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud and Kentucky’s Will Levis to be the first three quarterbacks taken in the NFL Draft. Young and Stroud are among the front-runners to go first overall, while Levis should be a top-10 selection. The Chicago Bears, holders of the first overall pick, are likely to trade the selection to a QB-needy team.
Richardson has been viewed as a mid-to-late first-round selection, but a strong performance at the Combine might see him go earlier than initially projected.
The 6-foot-4, 232-pound Richardson threw for 2,549 yards and 17 touchdowns against nine interceptions in his final collegiate season. The dual-threat quarterback also had 654 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.

The Houston Texans (owners of the second overall pick) and Indianapolis Colts (fourth overall) are in good position to take Stroud and Young. Other QB-needy teams like the Las Vegas Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders could definitely be in the running for the Florida star quarterback.
