Five-star quarterback recruit Dylan Raiola is officially flipping his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs’ football program.
Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Raiola informed the network that he is flipping his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The 18-year-old Raiola is the No. 1 ranked QB recruit for the 2024 class by multiple outlets, though ESPN has him second behind Alabama commitment Julian Sayin.
Raiola transferred to Buford High School in Buford, Georgia for his senior year. Back in May, Raiola committed to the Bulldogs (then coming off a second straight national championship-winning season), before deciding to flip.
The Bulldogs lost their starting quarterback of those two championship teams, Stetson Bennett, this past April. The Los Angeles Rams drafted Bennett in the fourth round (128th overall) to serve as a backup Matthew Stafford.
Carson Beck emerged as the Bulldogs’ new starting quarterback this year, completing 72.4 percent of his pass attempts for 3,738 yards and 22 touchdowns against only six interceptions. The Bulldogs were in contention to qualify for the four-team College Football Playoffs before losing to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
The Cornhuskers are in desperate need of improved QB play after a disappointing first year under new head coach Matt Rhule. The club went 5-7, with their QBs combining for a 52.1 completion percentage, 10 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

Needless to say, Raiola’s commitment is a major win for a once-proud program that’s trying to regain its winning culture.
