The father of a top college football quarterback had no time for fan criticism of his son on social media.
DJ Uiagalelei is set to begin his first season with the Florida State Seminoles following three years at Clemson State plus one year at Oregon State. One of the top players in college football will take over the offense from Jordan Travis, who was drafted in the fifth round (171st overall) by the New York Jets.
DJ’s father, “Big Dave” Uiagalelei had a problem with a fan disrespecting his son in an X/Twitter space. The elder Uiagalelei went off on the fan and even threatened to beat him up in the heated exchange.
The video is below. (WARNING: CONTAINS OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE THAT IS NSFW):
DJ Uiagalelei became one of the best quarterbacks in college football in his one-year stop at Oregon State. He threw for 2,638 yards and 21 touchdowns against only seven interceptions along with 219 rushing yards and six rushing scores.

DJ Uiagalelei’s Seminoles Kick Off College Football Season vs. Georgia Tech
The Seminoles were controversially left out of the four-team playoff for the national championship a year ago. 2024 is a chance at redemption, and the quest will begin with an August 24 game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
That historic college football game will occur in Dublin, Ireland at Aviva Stadium, with Florida State designated as the home team. DJ Uiagalelei’s team will get a couple of extra days off between games before coming back in the U.S. for their home opener vs. Boston College on Sept. 2.
