Football fans are in shock over the unbelievable concession stand prices at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the CFP national championship game between Notre Dame and Ohio State tonight.
This year’s CFP national championship game is being played at the Atlanta Falcons’ home venue that opened in 2017. The Falcons’ insanely cheap concession prices (compared to other teams, at least) have been well-documented, but they didn’t use tonight’s big game to increase the costs.
The official Mercedes-Benz Stadium X/Twitter account shared their concession prices for the marquee showdown between the Fighting Irish and Buckeyes. And let’s just say that you’d be lucky to find concession prices like this at a little league game, let alone a venue used by a professional sports team:

And football fans were losing their minds over the incredibly family-friendly concession prices for tonight’s CFP national championship game:
“Mercedes Benz has cheaper snacks than the teacher’s lounge at May’s school. 😂,” wrote one fan.

Hat tip to Falcons owner Arthur Blank and team officials for putting the best interest of fans and their families before themselves. If only other professional sports teams would to the same.
Another CFP National Championship Game Dud
The last two national championship games were blowouts, with Georgia and Michigan cruising to easy wins in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Well, Notre Dame is getting blown out of the water through the first 30 minutes.
It looks like the title game will again be a dud. At least the fans in attendance got to enjoy food and drinks at a reasonable price, though.
