The story follows the investigation that ensued after the Bishop Sycamore Centurions, a presumed high school football team from Columbus, Ohio, took on prep powerhouse IMG Academy.
It turned into a 58-0 beatdown which had people questioning the legitimacy of the Bishop Sycamore program, and the activities of fired head coach Roy Johnson.
During the game, ESPN announcers said Bishop Sycamore had “a number of Division I prospects,” but the network wasn’t able to verify any of the information.
In addition, it was reported that Bishop Sycamore played just two days before facing IMG.
The documentary will air on HBO and HBO Max in 2023.
