Earlier this week, former Ohio State players Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint had to appear in court for a bail hearing on charges of rape.
According to WSYX, the Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted Riep and Wint on three charges each, which include two felony counts of rape and one felony count of kidnapping. If convicting, both men face up to 33 years in prison. They would also have to register as sex offenders.
Both players were kicked off the program shortly after the allegations were made public.
The woman in question claims she was forcibly raped on February 4th when she went over to Riep and Wint’s apartment to watch a movie, but was later restrained by both men and forced to have vaginal and oral sex.
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day had this to say after both were kicked off the team: “I am not making any statement on the criminal charges, but it is clear they did not live up to our standards and my expectations.”
