A top-five matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs started as a blowout turned into a thriller, as No. 4 Alabama outlasted No. 2 Georgia 41-34 after giving away a 23-point halftime lead before they took it back for good.
Bama was leading the Bulldogs 30-7, and the match was heading for a shocking result. Many fans couldn’t believe the marquee matchup was turning into this.
Many fans took to social media and began making the same Donald Trump joke that was way too easy not to make.
During ABC’s presidential debate, Trump said: “In Springfield, they are eating the dogs. The people that came in, they are eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.”
Well, the team is called the Georgia Bulldogs, and you can pretty much see where this was headed.

During the presidential debate, Trump also claimed to have seen “people on television [saying] ‘My dog was taken and used for food.’
No one knows for sure if anybody had their dogs eaten, but for one half of Saturday’s play, the Alabama Crimson Tide were certainly eating the Georgia Bulldogs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Kirby Smart did everything he could to help the Bulldogs recover in a hard-fought Week 5 road game against Alabama. Despite briefly taking the lead, the home team ultimately claimed a 41-34 victory.
