Dick Vitale Has Been Fighting (And Beating) Cancer Since 2021
This diagnosis is not a first for Dick Vitale. The legendary analyst was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2021, just months after he underwent multiple operations amid a battle with melanoma.
He announced he was cancer-free in 2022.
Vitale was also diagnosed with vocal cord cancer last summer and had to take radiation treatment before revealing he was cancer-free in November.
The 85-year-old said he feels “fantastic physically” in an ESPN release and will do “everything that I can control in winning this latest new setback.”
Total Pro Sports would like to wish Vitale a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
