Croatia basketball sensation Nika Muhl has been trending online following her performance during Friday night’s Final Four battle against Iowa.
The Huskies suffered a marginal loss in what was a remarkable spectacle.
While the focus was on Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark and UConn’s Paige Bueckers, two other players had breakout games, with Iowa’s Hannah Stuelke and UConn‘s Nika Muhl both stepping up.
Stuelke kept the Hawkeyes in the game while Clark struggled. The latter’s struggles were mostly due to the defense Muhl played on the night as she basically shut Clark down for the entire first half.
The Iowa star finished the game with 21 points.

Muhl scored nine points, adding seven assists, five rebounds, and three steals. While these aren’t exactly huge numbers, she managed to keep the best player in women’s college basketball quiet and hit some key shots herself.
Here’s what the internet had to say about her performance.
Nika Muhl Has Played Her Final College Game
There were plenty of fans who had no idea who Nika Muhl was before last night, yet she’s already leaving college.
The Croatian guard has opted to forego her final year of eligibility and go pro.
“It’s not that I want to go home,” she explained in March (per Ctinsider.com). “Coming here was a huge adjustment. It’s so hard. But I took a leap of faith my freshman year. I took a leap of faith because of Coach [Geno Auriemma]. How much I trusted him as soon as I met him, I’d never experienced that before.
“I don’t trust people that easy. Him being able to give me that form of trust was like, ‘I have go go here and if I don’t I’m going to regret it.’“
Despite the impressive defensive effort, the Hawkeyes are headed to the National Championship Game and will face South Carolina this Sunday as Clark gets to take one final swing at a title.
