The Texas Longhorns and the North Carolina Tar Heels are on very different paths in the college football world.
Texas is finally back. The Longhorns made it to the College Football Playoff as the #5 seed and will host the 12th-seeded Clemson Tigers in the opening round.
In the meantime, the Tar Heels are also making noise. The team signed Bill Belichick as the new head coach and has now produced renewed optimism for a program that has struggled to remain relevant in recent years.
Belichick will bring a wealth of NFL experience, and it could very well bring him Arch Manning.
Amid the quarterback drama enveloping Texas in the days before the start of the College Football Playoff, social media is abuzz with speculation that Belichick might make a play to get Manning.

Social media is convinced that Arch would take his talents to North Carolina.

Bill Belichick Already Has Arch Manning Connection With His Family
The University of North Carolina secured a huge win for the 2025 season when it announced that Bill Belichick accepted the head coaching opening for the Tar Heels.
There is one player that UNC fans are hoping Belichick can help poach from another top team.
That is none other than Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning.
Manning has served as the backup this season behind Quinn Ewers but is the projected starter next season.
However, he may decide to forego staying another year just in case Quinn Ewers comes back and plays for the greatest coach of all time.
The connection to his family is already there since Belichick has become a regular on the ManningCast this season.
