Football fans are going in on ESPN following The Worldwide Leader in Sports trolling the Florida State Seminoles after they shockingly missed out on the College Football Playoff on Selection Sunday.
The Seminoles went undefeated this season, also winning the ACC title, but they will not have an opportunity to challenge for a National Championship, with Alabama jumping them to qualify after beating Georgia.
The Crimson Tide had an advantage when it came to strength of schedule, and the fact that Jordan Travis’ season ended prematurely also worked against FSU.
While the decision remains a matter of debate, most can agree that the Seminoles at least deserve sympathy. ESPN wasn’t even willing to give them that, having taken to social media to post a video of former NBA superstar Isiah Thomas explaining why he wasn’t picked for the Dream Team in ‘The Last Dance’ with the FSU logo on the Pistons legend.
Fans couldn’t believe they would stoop that low.
“Posting this garbage to 44 million people,” Luke Zim shared. “Zero shame.”

Meanwhile, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum has blamed ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips for the unfortunate circumstances.
“I don’t mean to point fingers back at the ACC, but the ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips put out this manifesto earlier, outraged and unfathomable — I think was his word — but he was one of those three commissioners that joined that alliance a couple of years ago that really stopped the 12-team playoff from being in existence today,” he said on the decision.
“It’s a little over the top and, quite frankly, it doesn’t matter because we have a system next year that suits what all the people are crying about.”
