Someone behind the scenes at ESPN decided it would be a good idea to make a graphic during Black History Month they assumed that would received well.
ON ESPN over the weekend, the Virginia Cavaliers and the North Carolina Tar Heels were taking on each other in a huge men’s basketball game.
During that game, ESPN chose an insensitive graphic to display that was titled, “ACC Head Coaches Who Happen To Be Black.”
Social media did not receive this very well:

Do better, ESPN.
As for the actual game, Virginia men’s basketball failed to score 50 points for the third-straight game and suffered a 54-44 loss to No. 10 North Carolina. It had been 12 years since UNC won at John Paul Jones Arena.
The Tar Heels shot 32% from the field for the game and had their two best players held to a combined two points in the first half but they still held on to get a much-needed road victory.
Cormac Ryan gave UNC an unexpected and significant lift with 18 points on six threes.
