The ESPN computer model has tipped a trio of college football programs to go undefeated next season.
The 2024 campaign is less than three months away, and schools are gearing up for an extraordinary term as the College Football Playoff has been expanded to accommodate 12 teams, while some top conferences are set to house new programs.
Going unbeaten will not be as crucial as it used to be; there could be a few teams nursing two or three losses going to the playoffs. Still, there is prestige to playing an entire season without a single defeat.
As such, the aforementioned model has listed three teams boasting a 10 percent chance or better to finish the upcoming season with unblemished records.

Notre Dame ranks first in such regard at 15.8 percent. The Fighting Irish aren’t going into next season with that much hype surrounding them. However, given their favorable schedule, they have a great opportunity to go 12-0.

The Oregon Ducks are next up with a 15.7 percent chance. According to the model, the Ducks are heading into their first season in the Big Ten as the conference’s top team. While an undefeated campaign remains improbable, ESPN’s model has given them the best chance in the conference.
Georgia is one season removed from back-to-back titles and should be the No. 1-ranked program in the nation at the start of the season. The Bulldogs have been given a 10.8 percent chance to go undefeated and top the SEC.
The Ohio State Buckeyes (7.5 percent) and Penn State Nittany Lions (7.1 percent) round up the top five teams on the list.
