Based on their reactions to a particular ESPN layoff, football fans seem concerned for the future of the popular show, College GameDay.
The Worldwide Leader in Sports is in its feelings at the moment, having released multiple talents from various departments. Some of the biggest names, including the likes of Jeff Van Gundy, Jalen Rose, and Suzy Kolber, have been fired amid the mass layoffs, but College GameDay remains the show most affected.
The program is considered to be the best non-live sports bit aired by ESPN but has experienced a number of notable exits, with Tom Rinaldi and Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica leaving for Fox Sports.
Last week, things got even worse as David Pollack and Gene Wojciechowski were handed their marching orders. ESPN seems to be clearing a path for Pat McAfee ahead of his impending move from FanDuel and he’s being blamed for lots of the layoffs.
Kirk Heibstreit and Desmond Howard are still around yet the network is still set to make more cuts in the coming weeks or months. Aside from that, fans are worried about College GameDay
