Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Stetson Bennett IV was playing through quite the illness against South Carolina on Saturday, although you wouldn’t know it based on his play…
You would, however, know it based on some of the other things he was doing on the field, besides throwing touchdowns… Like, say… PUKING!
After throwing a touchdown pass to tight end Brock Bowers to put the Bulldogs up 21-0 early in the second quarter, ESPN cameras panned to Bennett, who could be seen bent over on the field, at the tail end of a vomiting session.
ESPN later reported that Stetson was feeling ill and was pretty upset about it on the bench. Sideline reporter Molly McGrath told viewers, “quarterback Stetson Bennett actually got sick after that scoring play and came over to the sideline and yelled in frustration with his head down.”
“He’s been taking oxygen all game from their very first drive, and athletic training staff was pouring water and cool towels on his neck, but I’m told he’s fine and will return in this game,” she added.
Bennett finished the game throwing for 284 yards and two touchdowns, while adding another score on the ground in a 48-7 victory over the Gamecocks.

Georgia came into the contest ranked no. 1 in the nation following a couple of impressive victories over Oregon and Samford. It doesn’t look like they’ll be giving up that spot following a shellacking of their SEC rival.
