ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ returned this Saturday and was on location to preview Saturday night’s Duke’s Mayo Classic showdown between North and South Carolina.
The show has already announced where it will be aired in Week 2, with pregame coverage of Alabama vs. Texas in Tuscaloosa next up for the cast. This is quite a sound plan for The Worldwide Leader in Sports as it’s likely that both programs will be ranked inside the top 10 by the time the game goes down next weekend.
Last year’s fixture featuring the two sides saw the Crimson Tide run out to a marginal 20-19 win over the Longhorns, with a shoulder injury forcing Quinn Ewers out and Hudson Card replacing him.
Lee Corso is already picking Texas as his winner, sort of.
“Just so you know. I’ll tell you one week in advance. I might pick Texas,” he told Kirk Herbstreit today.
Meanwhile, Texas starts the season at 1-0 after a 37-10 win over the Rice Owls this Saturday, with Alabama set to play the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders tonight.
