During the Manningcast on Monday Night Football, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green came on to talk with Eli and Peyton.
During the conversation, he was asked if he could name the players taken ahead of him in his draft class. Draymond certainly could.
However, things got awkward when Eli Manning began to ask about Fab Melo and whether he still played in the NBA. Draymond quickly stated, “God, rest his soul” to let him know he was no longer alive.

The former Syracuse 7-footer and Boston Celtics first-round pick died in his home country of Brazil back in 2017. He passed away from natural causes.
Melo spent two seasons playing for Boeheim at Syracuse and was part of the Orange team that went 34-3 and 17-1 in the Big East in 2012.
Melo averaged 7.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in the 2011-12 campaign.
