LSU beat Alabama 46-41 in what can be said as the most thrilling college football game of the 2019 season over the Weekend at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The game has huge implications for the College Football Playoff and Ed Orgeron knew that coming into the game, That’s why after the win, he delivered a fiery locker room speech to pump his players up for their hardwork to get it done. It was a speech that was supposed to remain in-house and among the players and coaches.
Unfortunately, but fortunately for us, a player on the team live-streamed the ending part of the Tigers’ coach speech where he could be heard yelling, “Roll Tide what? [Expletive] you!”
On Monday, LSU coach Ed Orgeron addressed that viral video that surfaced after the Tigers’ 46-41 win over Alabama.
“Wish that wouldn’t happen,” Orgeron said Monday. “That shouldn’t happen. I addressed the player that did it. He felt bad about it. They’re so used to having those phones on them all the time. We have pregame meal and I say, ‘Can you turn your phones off just a little bit so we can say the prayer?’ And we say the prayer and boom, they’re back on their phones.
“I think that’s just the product of today. Everybody carries their phone on them all the time. I don’t think it was done with malintent or nothing like that. I addressed it with the young man and I don’t think it’s gonna happen again.”
He also spoke specifically about his Roll Tide comments:

“The things that I say outside to the media, those are the things I want to get out,” he said. “If I wanted that to get out, I would have said it outside. You get emotional. When you talk to your team, it’s your family. Just like we all talk to our family. We all talk around the dinner table, we say some things that outside the family we don’t say.
“It was no means to hurt anybody or nothing like that. It was just a fiery moment, a very emotional moment with our team. That’s all that was.”
