EA Sports has released a trailer for its highly-anticipated ‘College Football 25’, with the video game set to return after over a decade.
Said publisher announced in 2021 that the beloved college football title would be returning, though details were sparse. And fans have been waiting for its launch ever since.
The game is set to make its massive comeback this summer, with EA Sports vice president and general manager Daryl Holt confirming as much to ESPN back in November. However, there were fears of a delay given that the new year started with no updates.
It appears those can be laid to rest as the first trailer for the title dropped this Thursday as EASPORTSCollege’s official X account shared a sneak peek, though it doesn’t give anything away in terms of gameplay.
The account also confirmed the summer release, noting that there will be a “full reveal in May.”
EA’s college football franchise has been dormant since Ed O’Bannon sued the NCAA and Collegiate License Company because EA used his likeness without his permission.

With the advent of NIL, which allows college players to be paid for the use of their names, images, and likenesses, the game is now set to return with lifelike representations that will see players compensated.
