Did EA College Football snub a massive NCAA football star from the cover of the popular game?
With the release of EA Sports College Football 25 on the horizon, fans now know which athletes will be featured on the cover.
As fans eagerly await EA Sports College Football 25, a teaser was released on Friday when the game’s deluxe version cover was posted on the PlayStation Store.
The cover image depicts a group of college football’s best talents, including Michigan’s Donovan Edwards, Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, emerging from a tunnel into a packed stadium.
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders was suggested as a cover athlete thousands of times, yet he was nowhere to be found on the popular college football game.

When the NCAA adopted name, image, and likeness laws in 2021, it cleared the way for EA Sports’ college series to resume. The game was put on hiatus following the release of NCAA Football in July 2013.

EA Sports announced the franchise’s return in February 2021. It took an additional two years before EA Sports reached an agreement to have FBS players in the game.
EA Sports College Football 25 Has A Countdown on Next Reveal
As anticipation for the EA Sports game continues to build, there is a countdown clock on the EA Sports’ website that seems to indicate the full reveal of the game will happen on May 16:
The official release date will presumably be announced during the full reveal.
EA Sports opened the process for players to opt in and give their likeness to the game, and more than 12,300 FBS players had opted in as of April 17.
