Former United States President Donald Trump reckons one person is to blame for the Florida State Seminoles getting snubbed by the College Football Playoff committee.
FSU will not be competing for a chance to become National Champion despite going 13-0 and winning the ACC Championship in 2023, with Alabama getting the nod after beating Georgia on Saturday.
Losing starting quarterback Jordan Travis severely hurt the program’s chances, while the Crimson Tide’s strength of schedule is also believed to have worked against them. Trump has a completely different theory, though, as he appears to have laid blame at the feet of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“Lets [sic] blame DeSanctimonious,” he shared on his Truth Social platform following the decision.
Of course, DeSantis has had his say on the controversial snub as well.
“What we learned today is that you can go undefeated and win your conference championship game, but the College Football Playoff committee will ignore these results. Congratulations to @FSUFootball on an outstanding season and winning the ACC championship!” he wrote on X.
