A few days ago, there were several reports that stated the Los Angeles Lakers and Doc Rivers had a mutual interest in combining after the season, since there is a strong possibility Luke Walton would be fired in the offseason.

Coaching LeBron can be quite tricky as many have found out over the years. With his immense talent comes a bunch of drama, unnecessary attention, and expectations that are magnified with his very presence on a roster.
For his efforts, Rivers have dealt with difficult players over the years, such as, Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

Rivers has enough reason to stay with the Clippers as they have a real shot in bringing Kawhi Leonard on board during the offseason.
