Another season of college football is upon us, which means it’s time for everyone to set their predictions and watch how things play out.
During the season premier of ESPN’s College GameDay, the analysts gave their predictions for this year’s highly-anticipated College Football Playoff. Most of the selections were pretty chalk, as you would expect.
Lee Corso went with Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia and Utah. Kirk Herbstreit had the former three as well, but went with Baylor over Utah. Former Georgia linebacker David Pollack picked Utah, Ohio State, Georgia, and Clemson…
And then there was Desmond Howard.
It’s always nice to see these analysts get a little creative, but Howard’s predictions had many on Twitter wondering whether he needed to be drug tested.
The former Heisman Trophy winner from Michigan went completely off the board by picking his alma mater to lose in the national championship game against the Texas A&M Aggies, with Pitt and Baylor being the other two schools in the final four.
Needless to say, social media was losing their collective minds after seeing these predictions. Here are some of the best reactions:

Bama The Early Favorites
Alabama enters the 2022 College Football season as the early favorites to win it all. That’s not surprising, as the Crimson Tide have eight starters returning on defense, along with Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Bryce Young on offense.
They’ll have their work cut out for them if they want to avenge last year’s loss in the Finals to Georgia, as the Bulldogs and Ohio State both enter the season with high expectations. The Buckeyes are the next highest favorite according to BetMGM, at +320, followed by the Bulldogs at +350. Bama is currently listed on BetMGM at +190 to win it all.
All three of these teams will kick off their 2022 season next Saturday, with Bama hosting Utah State, while Georgia and Ohio State will face stiffer competition against Oregon and Notre Dame, respectively.
