Michigan and everybody associated with them are still gloating over its win against Ohio State this year.
During Saturday’s Heisman Trophy ceremony, Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson said his goal for 2021 was to come back, beat Ohio State and win a Big Ten championship. That pretty much opened the door for an awkward moment that started with Tim Tebow stepping forward to thank Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett for being between Hutchinson and Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud.
“I’m glad you’re in between them. It’s good. Please stay there,” Tebow said.
To which Desmond Howard remarked, “Better than his offensive line.”
Robert Griffin III said Howard was “just throwing them under the bus.”
Howard faced a ton of criticism online for his words, so he took to Twitter and apologized.

“I would like to apologize … to everyone who doesn’t have the ability to recognize a fun, good natured ribbing among football rivals. C.J. is good. We good. And that’s all that matters to me. Everyone else can relax and enjoy the rest of their night,” Howard quipped.
The Wolverines will face Georgia in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31 in their first College Football Playoff appearance.
The Buckeyes will play Utah in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
