Deion Sanders put the rest of the college football world on notice in his first game as Colorado coach.
Colorado upset TCU in one of the first college football games of the season Saturday, 45-42. Before that would go down, Sanders and his players had some extra added motivation handed to them on a silver platter before the game.
While out on the field inside Amon G. Carter Stadium, TCU fans were filing in and already rowdy as Deion and company were doing warmups.
Footage showed fans directing harsh language at Deion Sanders as he directed a kiss at them in response.
It’s rare that the hype lives up to reality, but all the hype around Deion Sanders and Colorado proved to be well-deserved as the Buffaloes shocked the nation with their play.
Shedeur Sanders was one of the biggest stars in college football in Week 1, connecting on 38-of-47 passes for 510 yards and four touchdowns in Colorado’s 45-42 win over TCU.

Two-way star Travis Hunter had 11 catches as a wide receiver and an interception as a defensive back. He also had an incident with fans, but he ultimately let his play do the talking. Hunter played more than 100 snaps in his first game for Colorado.
This was a Colorado team that entered Saturday as a three-touchdown underdog against a team that advanced to the national title game a season ago.
