Deion Sanders hasn’t played football for nearly 20 years, but he’s still no slouch.
The new Colorado Buffaloes head coach has every excuse to let himself go as he’s had health complications and more than a handful of surgeries in recent times, yet it appears he’s still a stud in the gym.
Sanders had two toes removed as part of a surgical procedure to save one of his legs and has had to segway his way around campus. It’s how he pulled up to the weight room in a video released by Thee Pregame Show this week, but he still managed to show up his son, Deion Sanders Jr., as well as two of his coaches.
Coach Prime got on the bench without warming up or even taking off his cap and sunglasses, easily pushing six reps of a 245lb barbell before getting back on his segway and wheeling away.
“Don’t ever try me again,” he’s heard saying afterward.
Deion Jr. and the team’s assistant coach, Sam Malone, were unable to even get one rep in. Wide Receivers coach Rashad Davis managed four.
