Deion Sanders Jr. came to the defense of his half-brother, Shilo Sanders, after a popular sports personality suggested that his draft stock has fallen.
Shilo’s brother and Colorado Buffaloes teammate Shedeur Sanders, is widely expected to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Shedeur and Miami’s Cam Ward are the consensus top-two QB prospects in the draft.
The 24-year-old Shilo Sanders spent four collegiate seasons under the guidance of his father and head coach, Deion Sanders. The standout safety played for his father at Jackson State in 2021 and 2022 before the family moved to Colorado.
Sports media personality Dov Kleiman shared a clip of Shilo struggling during in practice at the East-West Shrine Bowl on X/Twitter. Kleiman ruffled some feathers by writing, “Shilo’s draft stock is tanking.”
That prompted Deion Sanders Jr. to come to the defense of his younger half-brother with a four-word response to Kleiman:

The Buffaloes finished 9-4 in the second season of the Sanders era. The season ended with a 36-14 loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl.
Shilo Sanders May Be A Late-Round Pick
While Shedeur and two-way superstar Travis Hunter are expected to be among the first prospects selected, it’s anybody’s guess where Shilo Sanders might get picked in the 2025 NFL Draft.
In his two seasons at Colorado, Shilo appeared in 21 games and had just one interception and five pass breakups. He’s not regarded as a top safety prospect in the draft, so he’ll likely be day three pick at best.
Then again, would anybody be surprised if a team that craves the spotlight like the Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets or Las Vegas Raiders sign Shilo just to get some extra media attention?
