Colorado head coach Deion Sanders had a classic Deion Sanders response to his son, Shedeur, imitating his touchdown dance during the Buffaloes’ blowout win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Shedeur paid homage to his father by performing Deion’s signature TD “Shuffle” dance after a rushing touchdown late in the fourth quarter that put the game out of reach.
After the game, a reporter asked Deion for his honest take on Shedeur’s reenactment of his iconic TD celebration. In typical and hilarious Deion Sanders fashion, he called it “horrible” and stated that neither he nor Shedeur can dance.
“It was horrible,” Deion said. “Because he don’t kick the feet up. He don’t want it.”
One week after the Buffaloes stunned the TCU Horned Frogs 45-42 on the road, Colorado came back home for its opener and made easy work of its longtime rivals. Shedeur completed 31 of 42 pass attempts for 393 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
