Deion Sanders has gotten off to an unbelievable start in the Power 5, with his Colorado Buffaloes a perfect 2-0 after games against TCU and Nebraska.
His son, Shedeur Sanders, has been attracting a lot of attention too as he’s already closing in on 1,000 passing yards after just two starts.
Shedeur has shown extraordinary poise in both of his outings, but his dad needed to check him at a certain point during Saturday’s win against the Cornhuskers as he got a bit too flamboyant. Speaking in his postgame presser, the quarterback revealed having gotten rubbed the wrong way when Nebraska coach Matt Rhule and his players stood on the Buffs logo in the middle of the field.
Deion claimed to have been unaware until he listened to his son speak after the win and, at one point “turned into dad” to tell him he couldn’t take off his helmet, to which Shedeur responded that the game was personal to him.
“I didn’t hear about that until I saw it on Shedeur’s presser,” Coach Prime told Skip Bayless and Michael Irvin on Monday’s episode of ‘Undisputed’. I didn’t know all that transpired. I had no idea. All I know is, during the game, after Shedeur made that Heisman-type scramble and threw the extra point in, he took off his helmet and he was strutting.”
“I said, ‘Come here, boy.’ I turned into dad for a minute,” he added. “I said, ‘Son, you cannot do that. You cannot take off your helmet.

“He said, ‘Dad, it’s personal.’”
Shedeur threw for 393 yards and two touchdowns against Nebraska, scrambling for a score himself in what was another impressive performance following his 510-yard outing vs. TCU.
Should he remain in this vein of form, fans could have one for the ages when the Buffaloes play Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans on September 30.
