Deion Sanders is in the record books after setting a milestone in Colorado on the weekend.
The Buffaloes head coach collaborated with UCHealth to boost a clinic at the Boulder campus which drew 280 participants and set a Guinness World Record for the most attendees at an indoor football lesson. That is according to CBS News Of Colorado’s Jasmine Arenas, who noted that the previous record was at 250.
The event was attended by Darian Hagan, a former Buffs player and coach, as well as director of player development Lane Carl, and hosted kids aged 7-10 who participated in drills while taking in some lessons on health.
One kid, in particular, doesn’t seem keen on taking the healthy route as he claimed he would never wash his hands again after fist bumping the Hall of Famer.
“It is not wise for you not to wash your hands, let’s get that straight,” Coach Prime explained. “I’ve accomplished some wonderful things, but not washing your hands? I am not worthy of that calling.”
The school hosted the event the day after losing to Oregon State, a loss that saw them fall to 4-5 on the back of a hot 3-0 start. Colorado is now in danger of missing out on bowl eligibility as they would need to win two out of their next three games to qualify.
