Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is looking to turn the program’s spring game into a massive event spanning an entire weekend.
The former NFL star played in Fiesta and Sugar Bowls in college, as well as two Super Bowls in the pros. He also played in the World Series as he was a star player in Major League Baseball too.
As such, Coach Prime is looking to make things even more festive when the Buffaloes’ spring game comes around this year and said as much to Lil Wayne on the latter’s Apple Music radio show, revealing his plans for what he’s dubbed “Prime Weekend.”
“So for our spring game, we’re having a whole ‘Prime Weekend,’” he said. “We’re having a fashion show Thursday, something for the boosters on Friday and the game on Saturday. We’re doing an afterparty with white, Black and Hispanic DJs. We’re gonna cover everybody.
“After the game, we’re doing something with the alumni. But maybe at halftime of the game, or right after the game on the rooftop, we’re gonna have somebody. It’s going down.”
That’s some ambition from Primetime right there. But, if you know anything about him, you’ve probably already guessed that what he described might pale in comparison to what’s actually going to happen.
