Deion Sanders has responded after a former NFL running back called him out over his Colorado Buffaloes having their belongings stolen at the Rose Bowl on Saturday.
Several Buffs players reported having discovered that their jewelry, money, and other possessions disappeared from their locker room while they were playing UCLA in their eighth game of the season.
Doc Holliday has criticized Sanders’ response to the incident, comparing it to the time Coach Prime had his own belongings stolen when he was at Jackson State. Holliday suggested that Deion hasn’t shown the same distaste this time around and isn’t going after California like he did Jackson because of its status.
“Hey Deion, Coach Prime… I remember when you went off when you were coaching at Jackson State, when you said somebody stole all your stuff out of the locker room. You pretty much lambasted the university, lambasted the city… You seemed to be pretty p’d off,” he said in a video. “You seemed to be going at the school and the university pretty hard…
“Now, according to reports, the same thing just happened at the Rose Bowl when y’all were playing UCLA. So, I really need to see that same kind of energy and that same kind of outrage that you were showing when you were at Jackson State.”
Prime, who has called on the NCAA to reimburse the players for their stolen items, has responded by asking Holliday to move on with his life, pointing out that the situations are not the same.

“My brother, move on with your life. I have and I’m to BLESSED to be stressed with yesterday’s inconsistencies,” he posted to X. “You’re talking about two different circumstances. God bless you because he’s sure blessing me.”
Meanwhile, Coach Prime is getting his team ready to play another ranked opponent, No. 16 Oregon State, this weekend.
