Last season when the Colorado Buffaloes held their annual spring game, less than 2,000 people showed up and there was not any hype surrounding the game whatsoever.
Fast forward one year later and the game was sold out, with over 45,000 people attending and the game was also being broadcast live by ESPN.
This drastic change in interest for the game can all be credited to coach Deion Sanders. Ever since the University of Colorado introduced Sanders as their new head coach last December, the team has received national attention. And although Prime has yet to coach a game with his new team, he is already being named as a potential candidate for bigger and better head coaching positions.
Although Sanders signed a five-year, $29.5 million contract with Colorado, anyone that follows sports knows that there are always ways around getting out of a contract.
For now, Prime will be coaching the Buffaloes for the upcoming college football season. But if he finds the same kind of success that he did at Jackson State, there is a real chance that a power college program or perhaps even an NFL team shows interests in hiring him.
Deion has stated several times in the past that he has no intentions in coaching in the NFL, as he would much rather coach younger men who are in more need of guidance and mentorship.

Nevertheless, if Sanders keeps having the success on and off the field that he has so far as a head coach, it could just be a matter of time before the NFL comes calling, the only question is, will Deion answer?
