Deion Sanders is facing some serious medical concerns after receiving some really bad news about his condition.
This week, the new University of Colorado head coach let us all in on what could turn out to be a pretty big ordeal as it was revealed that he could have his left foot amputated. Sanders has already had two of his toes removed, but circulation remains an issue and there is a possibility he could lose the whole foot.
Despite the terrible prognosis, Coach Prime is remaining positive and is still trying to inspire others as he’s taken to Twitter to share some wisdom.
“Everybody has a story but your ending hadn’t been written. Write the way u want this thang to go and make it happen just that way,” he wrote this Friday. “Why can’t u win now, why can’t u be happy now & why can’t u get what u want & need. You’re the only 1 that can answer your why. But i will be there to say Why Not! Let’s go baby. #CoachPrime.”
Sanders is heading into his first year as Buffaloes head coach but might have to put football on the back burner for a while. He has said he would prefer undergoing an amputation before the start of the college football season instead of having to miss games during the campaign.
The NFL Hall of Famer missed three games while coaching at Jackson State University last season due to complications with his leg.
