Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has reportedly kicked a player off the team.
According to Buffs Beat, former three-star recruit Bishop Thomas has been dismissed, with the defensive lineman having first been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. The Buffaloes are said to have been weighing their options after suspending the player, who has since been handed his marching orders.
“Deion Sanders and Colorado are moving on from Bishop Thomas,” the report reads. “The defensive lineman was dismissed from the program after being suspended indefinitely for violating team rules, according to sources,” they reported.
“While no official announcement was made by CU, a final show credit in Amazon Prime’s docuseries ‘Coach Prime’ said Thomas was suspended and his status for next season was “still being evaluated” by Deion Sanders and his staff.”
The Buffs went 4-8 in Coach Prime’s first season in charge but were the hottest team in the nation after starting the 2023 season 3-0, which saw them claim huge wins over TCU and Nebraska.
Sanders will hope to make a huge leap in 2024 after making moves to protect his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was the most sacked QB in college last season given Colorado’s pitiful offensive line.
As for Thomas, he is known for having made some impressive defensive plays last season. It appears they were not enough to keep him within his coach’s good graces.
