Deion Sanders has quickly parlayed the unprovoked criticism he received from Jay Norvell into significant profit.
The Colorado Buffaloes head coach was called out by Norvell, who coaches the neighboring Colorado State Rams, for wearing hats and sunglasses during interviews and has since declared Saturday’s upcoming game to be “personal.”
The word has been getting thrown around a lot since Norvell’s shot. But for Deion, it’s “personal,” as well as “just business,” with Blenders Eyewear having announced a partnership with Sanders, unveiling a new line of sunglasses inspired by Coach Prime.
“Coach Prime is an icon with a multi-generational influence,” CEO and founder of Blenders Eyewear, Chase Fisher, said in a news release. “From player to now a powerhouse coach, he’s become a true game-changer with a bold and unshakable style.”
The timing of this couldn’t have been better as Sanders claims the eyewear has already touched $1.2 million in sales.
