Death, taxes, and another phenomenal post-game interview by Colorado Buffaloes’ head coach Deion Sanders.
Prime Time’s home debut against Colorado’s longtime rivals, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, couldn’t have gone much better. The Buffaloes made easy work of Matt Rhule’s club on Saturday, cruising to a 36-14 to improve to 2-0 on the year.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer once again had a stupendous and inspiring post-game interview with Jenny Taft of FOX Sports after coaching Colorado to its second win (via Chris Rosvoglou of The Spun).
“I’m so proud of our team – so resilient. We stunk it up in the first half, but in the second half we came back. We had a great talk at halftime and we just came back and used our resiliency.
“They played their butts off. There were just a couple of personnel things that we needed to fix…But overall, I’m so proud of our kids, I’m so proud of the school, I’m so proud of the alumni…
“I don’t think I stumbled or stuttered when I told you we were coming. We comin’.”
With the victory, Colorado has already doubled last year’s win total. Needless to say, it hasn’t been this exciting for the Buffaloes’ football program in quite some time.
Deion’s son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, once again had a near-flawless performance. One week after tossing a school-record 510 yards in Colorado’s win over TCU, Sanders finished the day with 31 completions on 42 attempts for 393 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions.
