Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is reported to have made a new hire following his first season in Boulder.
The Buffs are expected to be a very different team in 2024, with a few departures having already taken place while several changes loom. Coach Prime previously revealed that Hall of Famer Warren Sapp will be part of the program as of next season and, according to Brian Howell, he’s now set to bring in Oklahoma analyst Phil Loadholt as an offensive line coach.
Loadholt is a former offensive tackle who played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2009 to 2015 following a second-round selection. He retired after 89 games.
The 37-year-old has worked as an offensive line analyst for the Sooners for the past two seasons and performed the same role at Ole Miss before he landed at Oklahoma.
Sanders recently claimed to have sorted out the offensive line coaching position, though he refused to give a name.
“Offensive line position has already been filled,” he said, per BuffZone.com. “A guy with plenty of experience, plenty wherewithal, able to communicate to all the kids from top to bottom.
“Track record is wonderful. Where he derived from is a tremendous Power 5, and I love everything about it. When he interviewed with me, he knocked it out of the park. He’s ready and prepared. As a matter of fact, he’s already in house.”

The offensive line was a real sore point for the Buffaloes during the season. They should be able to win a few more games if they can find a fix.
