Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders gifted his entire team some really cool-looking sunglasses ahead of their in-state showdown with Colorado State this Saturday.
The 2-0 Buffs are set to host the Rams on Saturday in what would have just been a regular football game had the latter’s HC not made things “personal.”
Sanders had previously admitted not having found any reason to go into the fixture with a chip on his shoulder, claiming to have heard lots of good things about Colorado State’s coach Jay Norvell. But Norvell went ahead and made what most fans consider to be a grave mistake after he called Coach Prime out for wearing hats and sunglasses when addressing reporters.
“I sat down with ESPN today,” Norvell said during his radio show on Wednesday. “I don’t care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them, I took my hat off and I took my glasses off. I said when I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat off and my glasses off. That’s what my mother taught me. (Colorado’s) not going to like us no matter what we say or do.”
Prime has since responded to the unprovoked shot, pointing out that he was minding his own business before “they made it personal.”
“I’m minding my own business, watching some film, I’m trying to get ready. I’m trying to get out there and be the best coach I can be, and then I look up and I read some bull junk that they done said about us,” he told his team in a video posted to his Instagram.
“It was just gonna be a good game, but they done messed around and made it … personal.”

Another video has been posted in which Deion is seen giving shades to every member of his team before telling them they looked “good,” as well as “fly,” and then dropping a line from Chalie Boy’s “I Look Good.”
The Buffs and Rams will settle things at the former’s Folsom Field at 10 PM ET on Saturday night.
