Fans are praying for University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders following the latest medical update on the former NFL and MLB star.
Coach Prime will go under the knife this Thursday, having already undergone an operation just last month, as he attempts to get over a battle with blood clots.
Fans were likely looking to hearing from Sanders at Pac-12 media day as he is one of the most controversial and interesting personalities in the NCAA. However, both he and the Buffaloes have announced that he will miss the event because he will have two surgeries on his left foot.
“Following the success of his last procedure and upon the advice of his doctors, Coach Prime is scheduled for a subsequent, routine follow-up procedure on July 20,” the university announced in a statement (H/T ON3).
“Unfortunately, his recovery will preclude him from attending Pac-12 media day, but he is fully expected to be back coaching in time for fall camp. Everyone at CU wishes Coach a fast recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on campus soon.”
Fans have offered prayers and support for Prime online. You could see some of their reactions right below:

Despite the many offseason ordeals, the 55-year-old has vowed to be back on his feet and ready to go by the time the NCAA football season kicks off.
The NFL Hall of Famer was aware he would have to undergo additional operations as his previous one was done to increase circulation so he could return under the knife sometime after.
