Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has aired his take on Florida State missing out on the College Football Playoff.
The news of FSU’s CFP snub has rocked college football, and everyone has an opinion. Of course, it’s Coach Prime’s alma mater, so he was always going to have something to say.
Speaking during an appearance on the ‘Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz,’ the Buffs HC pointed out that college football is a business and there was no way the committee was ever going to leave Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide out.
“See a lot of people don’t look at it as business. I look at it as this is entertainment but this is business,” he explained. “So there’s no way you’re going to leave Coach Saban and Alabama out of a Playoff. Who should be really upset — not only Florida State but Kirby Smart. He’s been what, No. 1 for the last two years or three years? And they’re out? What about them? I mean, this is unbelievable.”
Prime also warned that the CU will be in the playoffs next season.
Perhaps the development shouldn’t have been so shocking as it was suspected that the Seminoles would miss out after quarterback Jordan Travis got injured. Alabama was also considered to have a stronger schedule than FSU.

“I am disgusted and infuriated with the committee’s decision today to have what was earned on the field taken away because a small group of people decided they knew better than the results of the games,” he said in a statement. “What is the point of playing games? Do you tell players it is okay to quit if someone goes down?
