Deion Sanders has caused a stir online after wishing his son, Shedeur Sanders, a happy birthday.
The father and son are set to be separated, with Shedeur headed to the NFL Draft and Coach Prime remaining on as the HC in Colorado.
The star quarterback turned 23 today, so his father took to social media to send him birthday wishes. While it’s nothing out of the ordinary to wish your son a happy birthday online, the former superstar cornerback referred to Shedeur as his “FAVORITE son” in his post.
“Happy Birthday to my FAVORITE son @ShedeurSanders!” he wrote as the caption to a photo of the QB leaning against a luxury sportscar while wearing his Diamond Turf Nike sneakers.
“Favorite is wild lol,” a fan wrote in the comments.

Deion Sanders Might Really Have A Favorite
Sanders has two other sons, Deion Sanders Jr. and Shilo Sanders. Shilo, a defensive back, also played for him at Colorado and has draft hopes himself.
Of course, Prime was probably pulling legs, but he does seem to be closer to Shedeur, whom he’s coached throughout his entire life.
With the quarterback now expected to be a first-round pick in April, he will be playing under a new coach for the first time in his career. Shedeur has shown a preference for the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Giants, but time will tell where he ends up.
“To hear from Jerry Jones is truly delightful, and it’s intriguing,” Deion Sanders told ESPN on Monday night. “I love Jerry and believe in Jerry. After you hang up, and process it, and think about it, it’s intriguing. But I love Boulder and everything there is about our team,… pic.twitter.com/OMossS9iOx

As for Deion, he was heavily linked with the Dallas Cowboys job and confirmed having spoken to owner Jerry Jones about it. He ultimately decided to remain in Boulder, though he admitted he would have to think about it.
The Cowboys have since hired Brian Schottenheimer.
