A CBS writer has aimed some criticism Deion Sanders’s way on the back of his huge win on the weekend.
Sanders led his Colorado Buffaloes to a 45-42 victory over TCU on Saturday leaving many nursing inaccurate predictions. He kept receipts too, even going at reporters after the game, with one particular journo getting called out for writing “bull-junk” about the team.
If nothing else, Deion’s postgame press conference was entertaining, but it rubbed a lot of media members the wrong way, including CBS Sports’s Dennis Dodd, who accused Coach Prime of taking the credit for himself.
He also suggested that the players who actually went out and won the game deserve better than Sanders.
“Coach after coach has told me, take the blame when you lose and make it about the players when you win. Yesterday was a moment missed to do the latter,” he tweeted.
“Instead, wonderful moment & a bit of oxygen sucked out of the room. @CUBuffsFootball players deserved better IMO.”
The take got slammed as ignorant, though there were some users who somewhat agreed with it.

Dodd probably missed this part, but Sanders did praise his players after the win, as the user below pointed out:
Fans will be keen on finding out whether Sanders and the Buffaloes could follow their recent win with another victory when they play Nebraska this coming Saturday. We could use another press conference like this.
