Deion Sanders is setting a standard with the Colorado Buffaloes.
The Buffaloes had a particularly intense practice as they prepare for their debut under Deion Sanders.
Deion Sanders again worked his first-year Colorado squad through preseason camp in advance of the team’s opener next month at TCU. At practice were special guests former All-Pro wideout Terrell Owens and K, J. Hamler of the Denver Broncos.
Sanders went ballistic as he watched teammates walk away from their teammates during a practice-field scuffle.
“He just fought. I seen two of y’all walking off over there, and you got a key teammate fighting,” Sanders tells a huddle of players. “Where do they do that at? Where do they at?”
As players respond, “Nowhere,” Sanders levels his expectations for any future instance.

“If one fight, we all fight; you understand that?,” Sanders asked. “I don’t want to see y’all walking off when somebody’s fighting. Never again!”
While Sanders has previously indicated that his players are friendly, one thing is certain: if a fight breaks out, Colorado players are expected to defend their teammates and do not have the option of staying out of it.
The former Jackson State head coach seems to be recovering well from his time in the hospital. Sanders underwent surgery in June to remove blood clots in his left leg. On his YouTube page, he made it known before his first procedure that he would need multiple surgeries to remove both blood clots to improve blood flow in his legs.
His health has been in question since his time at Jackson State. Doctors amputated two toes from Sanders’ left foot to improve circulation issues while he coached there in 2021.
He informed fans that doctors will not amputate his foot at this time.
“There’s no talk of amputation,” Sanders said in another video. “The doctor was just telling me worst comes to worst, that [amputating the foot] was gonna happen. But I believe in staying right so we never have to take that left.
Once his health is back in order, Sanders is poised to revamp a Colorado football team that’s given him the keys after the school announced him as their new head coach in December.
Colorado will travel to Texas to play the TCU Horned Frogs to kick off their 2023-24 regular season on Sept. 2.
