The Colorado Buffaloes suffered a shocking second-half collapse against the Stanford Cardinal to kick off the weekend, blowing a 29-0 lead to lose 46-43 in double overtime.
At one point, Buffs head coach Deion Sanders appeared to be in a heated exchange with one of his players.
The Buffs appeared to be cruising to a win, yet the Cardinal kept on playing and were able to score 26 unanswered points to get themselves back in the game and eventually send it to overtime with a 46-yard field goal. They would also ice the fixture in similar fashion following a superb crunchtime exhibition.
The capitulation did not go down well with Sanders, who cameras showed going at it with cornerback Carter Stoutmire with the scores at 36-33 in the fourth quarter. Stoutmire, who had a terrible game, was not in the mood for a tongue-lashing from his coach and responded in kind.

A win would have taken the Buffs one good result away from bowl eligibility. But they are coming up on a bye week that should help them sort things out before they play UCLA on October 28.
