New Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has been dominating the headlines on the back of his departure from Jackson State. It’s fair to say the move hasn’t left a lot of people happy.
Deion leaving JSU hurts in more ways than one, with his son Shedeur moving with him after reneging on a commitment to Florida Atlantic University in order to play for Mississippi. His other son, Shilo, transferred from the University of South Carolina to play for Jackson State too but he isn’t expected to follow his father to Colorado. In fact, he’s done quite the opposite where it pertains to social media, unfollowing all of his family on Instagram except for Deion Jr.
Deion And Shedeur Have A Very Funny Relationship
It appears Deion and Shedeur have a very tight bond and are comfortable joking with each other – a little too comfortable…
A video posted to Twitter by user @shannonsharpeee shows the father and son engaged in a very amusing conversation over jewelry while still at Jackson State.
In the video below, the coach is heard asking his son, who he introduced as Colorado’s “new quarterback” during his first press conference, for a chain. Shedeur explains that he won’t be just handing things out and lets his father know he will have to “be a good dad” and earn it.
“You the child, I’m the father,” Deion points out.
“You want things to move faster, you know what to do,” Shedeur says with a smile before taking a sip from his drink.

Deion, reduced to fits of laughter, indicates he’s tempted to throw a bible at his son. It doesn’t seem like he’ll be getting that chain either way.
Things likely aren’t so peachy with Shilo, whom Deion said is in his dog house during the aforementioned presser.
“The safety made me mad so I didn’t bring him,” the new Colorado coach chided. “He’s in my doghouse right now.”
