A deepfake AI video of Jim Harbaugh admitting to the allegations against the Michigan Wolverines is doing the rounds on social media and looks frighteningly real.
The university is involved in yet another scandal on the back of Harbaugh’s recent three-game suspension as they have been accused of scouting opponents’ hand signals for future matchups.
Harbaugh, who was penalized for failing to cooperate during an investigation into recruiting violations and missed a trio of games due to a ban imposed by Michigan, could be facing even more punishment. For now, he’s just under scrutiny.
The clip below shows the head coach admitting to sign-stealing while noting he did not know it was prohibited by the NCAA. Deepfake Harbaugh also points out that, despite the Wolverines doing whatever they have to do to get ahead, they are only 1-6 in bowl games and 2-5 against Ohio State under him.
Check it out below:
The real Jim Harbaugh has denied any knowledge of the infractions.

“I do not have any knowledge or information regarding the University of Michigan football program illegally stealing signals, nor have I directed staff members or others to participate in an off-campus scouting assignment. I have no awareness of anyone on our staff having done that or having directed that action,” he said in a statement.
An analyst for the Wolverines program has since been suspended.
