Dan Orlovsky is great at what he does. The former NFL quarterback is an excellent analyst and was pretty good at playing football too. But social media is probably outside of the range of his expertise as he was unable to correct what turned out to be a major spoiler on the weekend.
Dylan Daiola, the No. 1 overall recruit for 2024 revealed his commitment to the current CFP champions, the Georgia Bulldogs, on Monday. Raiola is one of the highest-rated quarterbacks ever, having earned a 0.9995 rating on the 247Sports Composite.
But it appears Orlovsky had gotten the scoop beforehand as he took to Twitter on Sunday with a huge hint. Having realized that his post was a bit too obvious, he quickly edited it to make it more unclear. He would have been better off just deleting the tweet and posting another one – because everyone can still see the original.

That Orlovsky was teammates with Dylan’s father in the NFL made it all the more obvious.
The ESPN analyst shouldn’t be that embarrassed over his error as there was hardly any doubt the young QB would be headed to Georgia. But he should take this as a lesson.
